It’s sad that this is George Lazenby‘s first and last performance as James Bond, because this is a great step up and a breath of fresh air compared to the Sean Connery films that preceded it. James Bond is depicted with far more depth. Great action and set pieces too.

This is, essentially, a perfect Spider-Man story. What no films besides the first two Sam Raimi films understand is that Peter Parker needs to be shit on like 24/7. Peter Parker’s destiny is to be miserable because of his self-imposed duty to be Spider-Man. Peter is Spider-Man No More for more than like half an hour in this movie! It’s plot is paced basically perfectly in that it really gives weight and duration to Peter’s decision to put his life…
