felt like getting repeatedly punched in the head. Muni and BART seats shot gorgeously. perfectly accurate portrayals of every SI graduate i've known. everything i've ever felt for san francisco all at once. a beautiful love-hate for the modern-day american megacity. i wanna ride a cablecar and bludgeon a salesforce executive
i loved this movie as a teenager. i thought it was one of the all-time greats. i saw it *thrice* during the initial theatrical run.
in the intervening decade between my last viewing and now, i had convinced myself that the movie was Not That Good Actually, and that i simply Hadn't Seen Enough Movies then.
