easily the best mind bending animation i’ve ever seen. absolutely divine and soooo incredibly stylized. loved the bitch with her titties out.

turns out folktales from every country are weird as fuck

i cried my eyes out. i did not fuck w b.e.n. and thought mr. arrow and amelia were a way better match BUT! john silver was such a nuanced, beautifully written character & i loveddd jim’s mama sarah. made me think too much and i am crying writing this

death by falling in space is horrifying!

the entire time i watched i kept picturing my boyfriend as the little boy he once was with this great big imagination and cried some more

while the atmosphere, tension building, visuals, and costuming were glorious i found the storytelling lack luster. every time count orlok spoke i was like zzzzz honk shoo the voice he used took me right out of it. i don’t like lily rose depp’s dorito surgeried face but thought she did well in this. as always william dafoe blew it out of the water and i love nicholas hoult. there were many scenes that were fun to cringe at. not eggers at his strongest but definitely a fun christmas movie 😛
