First "5-star film" of 2025 for me!

John Malkovich looked like he was having way too much fun in a few scenes, and that just added to my enjoyment of the film. I did not know who Ayo Edebiri was until I saw this, and that makes me sad, but I will be looking her up on IMDB and consuming any film/tv show I can find with her in it.

"We are married. They're gonna have to accept that." - Oh, will they? Anora is the kind of scrappy, foul-mouthed "good-for-her" kind of character I love to root for. I wasn't sure going into this why Yuri Borisov was nominated for an Oscar, but I just had to stick with it for a little bit and found out. The glances he throws Anora from time-to-time melted my cold, dead heart. The final scene was chef's kiss.

This was the first Freddy movie I got to see in theaters. And with my mom, of all people. Lol. I can really appreciate the effects in this movie despite the minimum number of kills. Alice will always be my favorite dream warrior.
