The Iron Claw 2023
Wow, didn’t know anything about this family until watching this film. It’s hard to believe how tragic a story it is. But the movie is incredibly well done, surprised Efron didn’t get an Oscar nomination.

War for the Planet of the Apes 2017
Finished up the rewatch of the OG trilogy before seeing Kingdom this Friday. I hope the new one can live up to its predecessors. This movie is incredible. CGI still blows me away, Serkis is top notch as Caesar yet again. Deserved awards for acting and effects. Excellent and somber end to the trilogy yet hopeful as well. Will continue to be one of my favorite trilogies of all time.

Kingdom had a lot to live up to, and for the most part I would say it does! The CGI is still stellar, set pieces are great. Everything pretty much meets the high standards the first three set up. There’s a totally unexpected early on that gave me goosebumps. Our main cast is very interesting, and seeing the world and how it’s developed following the end of War is compelling to watch.
