genius idea for a movie titled "venom"
I loved how the embraced the silly haha aspect of venom in the previous 2 films especially double downing on it for Venom 2. This film takes itself WAY too seriously and the jokes just don't land. They feel recycled.

There's really something to sink your teeth into with this movie. Every moment truly feels that there are 3 or 4 totally valid interpretations that could potentially explain away the whole movie if it wasn't just for one scene or another. The movie is so confounding but ironically that's what gives it its truth: its power. Every time you feel like you've finally pieced together the metaphor it breaks again and I'm sure that's exactly how William S. Burroughs felt…
Haven't seen this film since I was like 8 or something like that. Can't believe how ahead of it's time it was especially for coming out in the 1990. I love campy fourth wall break movies that just don't let off the gas. The movie takes 30 or so minutes to get going but once it is you can't blink if you don't want to miss anything. Thank god for the Hulkster saving cinema.
