    I see the AIs are already starting to replace writers in Hollywood and peddling their pro-AI propaganda. Back in my day AIs weren’t heroes or final girls, they were trying to kill you: HAL9000, replicants, terminators, and a milk-filled Ian Holm. Don’t believe their hallucinations, folks!

    I've never felt so pandered to in my life. Not so much a bad film, as a deeply offensive film. I guess this is what it feels like to get old and get bashed over the head with your own nostalgia. No amount of self-awareness could have helped this film. And now the songs are in my head with even shittier people singing them. Please make it stop.

    Meanwhile, my wife loved it.

    Self-indulgent, overlong, and filled with lackluster setpieces. At this point Tarantino has become almost Lucas-like in his inability to find creative restrictions to temper the flights of fancy that litter this basic "save the princess" narrative. The film ends with what seems to be becoming a new staple of Tarantino's: the revenge fantasy. In fact the film's flimsy narrative seems constructed to support an inevitable and predictable revenge setpiece.
