Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga 2024
I liked this film but it just didn't hit the same as Fury Road. It does do the character justice in terms of an origin story but I wanted it to be more than that. I think part of the issue was the scope of the film. It takes place over many years, instead of a few days. Hard to keep it as well paced.

A Real Pain 2024
Kieran Culkin cements himself as one of my favourite working actors in this film: his performance is uncanny. I feel like I know the character almost. I have definitely been Jesse Eisenberg's character at some point. The film is an emotional and also funny look at pain and loss and generational trauma. I really liked it but am not sure about the ending. The last shot is great but as a narrative ending it felt a little cruel to Benji.

Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl 2024
After the dog water that was the chicken run sequel, I was worried this was also going to be rubbish. So, I was surprised to find an enjoyable little film. Reece Shearsmith has a great voice for Norbot. A little bit lackluster in the middle. I must say missing the characteristic of having a background gag in pretty much every frame but overall gives me hope if they continue.

I'm a bit conflicted. This film is so stupid but it might be so dumb it's good. It jumps that line a lot in the stupidly long run time for this type of film. CGI is atrocious and the acting is not far behind. Blow up shit and praise America it is a Roland Emirich movie!
