The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo 2011
I noticed at the beginning I’m guessing since it was very expository the shots were pretty quick and the camera was moving a lot I thought that was a nice touch. Tried keeping track but the story and Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara had me entranced. Did like how the shot lengths kinda mellowed out after that first act tho. In that regard it seemed like music ebbing and flowing. First time I noticed something like this so clearly I can direct a classic film

Charlotte wells ur fucking amazing. The reflection shot off the tv was excellent. Oh and the shot where the camera moves to watch the dad smoke on the balcony and then moves back when he glances over like a child who should really go to sleep! Ugh!! Really well written and directed. And edited too!! Should’ve been nominated for best editing damn! Paul mescal killed it fr. What an actor. That’s that normal ppl depression acting back again. Just an excellent touching sobering movie
