Dumb as hell but glorious shots of the PNW and 80s style, trucks, and towns more than make up for it. All the robbery scenes are great. Went in hoping for a fun 3 star movie and got exactly what I wanted.
Basically to cop thrillers what Conclave is to political thrillers, right down to projecting shallow lib values onto members of the most conservative institutions in western culture.

I can't say I have more than a surface level understanding of Italy or Italians, but this movie captured the whole deal as I understand it as well as anything I've seen. The Epiphany celebration is a powerful demonstration of Italian excellence.
Alba Rohrwacher's got 'it' and Isabella Rossellini's fastball still hits the upper 90s.
It's overlong and I'll probably revise my opinion of it a few times over the next couple of weeks, but for now it's enough to say it's a beautiful little movie.
Very impressive, with some incredible performances. Leaves a real impression and I’ll be thinking about it for a long time to come. Did I hate it? Maybe.
