In one of the first scenes there's a LeBron James picture on the wall in the background, and the kids in front of me whispered "LEBRON BOO BOO BOO BOOM" which was probably the only noteworthy thing about this whole movie.

A Real Pain 2024
A gut wrenching comedy that is a masterclass in restraint of filmmaking. An amazing, hour and a half, outstanding script. The dialogue is witty and heartbreaking all at the same time, yet the movie isn't afraid to just be quiet and let the scenes speak for themselves at times. Kieran Culkin once again proving himself one of the greatest working actors, and phenomenal direction and writing from Jessie Eisenberg. Overall a fantastic look at generational trauma and the lasting effects of pain, both historical and modern.
