Kinda ass but there’s a really handsome extra in like 5 or 6 shots who really makes the movie.

Asked about Nirvanna The Band The Show Season 3 during the the Q&A and got a nice cheer. He said that it’ll be released soon hopefully if he gets enough traction from this film, and also he might be filming a NTBTS movie soon?!?! And maybe even in Glasgow?!??!?

Met Matt afterwards too, loveliest guy. Signed my shit, got a picture, answered questions.

Outside of that though, this is just a wonderful film. Final shot was perfect, I told Matt I liked it and he responded with a very sincere “me too”.

Just cause Linklater was the first American to do something doesn’t mean it was innovative. The most unique thing about this film is how it drifts between characters, essentially giving us a new lead every scene. Bresson has done this twice (L’Argent, Balthazar). And better. Linklater’s only innovation was daring to ask the question: what if all of these people talked exactly like me?

I must be wrong in not appreciating this from how others talk about it but I’m not gonna pretend I don’t think it’s ass.

Felt it was a little lengthy for the light and meaningless watch it ended up being. Fun but weakest of the Bong Joon-ho films I’ve seen.

This genuinely affected my mood quite badly. Didn’t have any great expectations or care going in I just had a growing dread and feeling that I was wasting my life watching this. It has greatly reduced my love for cinema. I think this is the worst movie I’ve ever seen and my soul feels damaged from watching it.

I don’t think I’m watching another movie for quite a while.
