First third felt a bit rushed. Too many cuts, felt like I was watching some sort of dragged out trailer at one point. Transitions excessive and sudden, could’ve crammed in less flashbacks and given the audience a bit more credit.

The best war (bad) has ever looked on film. Cinematography is unreal, helicopter scene alone would’ve been enough to convince me to enlist. 

Marlon Brando is impressively obese despite having lived off the grid in a Cambodian jungle leading a guerrilla army for years, though his stature does contribute towards his overall presence.
