  Everything Everywhere All at Once 2022

  It's a cosmic mix: the action of the 90s combined with the exploitation films of the 70s, but with modern touches. It's hyper violent, but it knows what it is. It's a little bit Tarantino, it's definitely a little bit Micheal Mann, it's kind of a cosmic gumbo. It almost moves to the beat of jazz.

  Over the last two years I’ve struggled with divorcing the Star Wars fan base and defining my affection for the series on my own terms. I couldn’t help but notice that most common Last Jedi nitpicks also apply to Phantom Menace:

  - Lowbrow jokes (most of Jar Jar's lines)
  - Characters get separated (Obi Wan just hangs out on the ship for all of Tatooine)
  - A side mission that fails (trip to Coruscant)
