The movie’s visuals were stunning, and Zegler truly sounds like a Disney princess. However, these are not enough to save the film from a cluttered storyline and lackluster pacing. The major story changes didn’t work for me, and the songs felt like unreleased tracks from Moana’s soundtrack.

The movie sprinkles just the right amount of nostalgia and delivers the perfect dose of sentimentality. While the plot offers nothing new, it's elevated by the lead’s chemistry, charisma, and charm.

An "okay" commentary on the dynamics of modern society. Though a sci-fi film set in space, it stays grounded by exploring the evils of capitalism. Strong performances from Pattinson, Ruffalo, and Colette, but it loses points for failing to stick the landing with a stronger ending.

On the upside, the film delicately handled the sensitive subject matter. There were some pacing issues as it felt that the movie took too much time building up then suddenly rushed the third act. The soundtrack was perfect and over-all, I wanted to read the book right after watching.
