Saltburn 2023
No interesting characters and a boring plot had me checking how much time was left in this (unbelievably) 131 minute movie. Theres also a corny twist at the end, and a campy dance scene that seemed like it was tacked onto the film in order to end on a fun note. All of the points I give this one are for the cinematography. Unfortunately, I watched this on the plane on my phone so the experience was extra brutal.

Most of this movie made absolutely no sense yet its fans will tell you that it’s actually genius. The biggest offender is the ending where I simply cannot suspend my disbelief enough to even remotely believe what happens. Cary Elwes who is usually good, is bad here. Danny Glover’s character is super underdeveloped. Why were the daughter and child tied up if they did nothing wrong? Why was Adam kidnapped exactly? Too many other questions to list. I get this…

Little Fires Everywhere 2020
Everything in this is so melodramatic and manipulative in a way that reminds me of a soap opera. In addition, the characters continually make poor decisions to the point where there are virtually no likable characters in the entire show.
