  I was very apprehensive walking into this movie and was kinda bracing myself for the worst but was pleasantly surprised to watch a solid action political thriller. The relationship between Sam, Isaiah, and Joaquin was very wholesome and cute. Especially the mentor/mentee relationship between Sam and Joaquin.   I guess this is the first “prestige” superhero film, and it deserves that title. Wow what a perfect performance from Hugh Jackman and devastating farewell to the Logan we met all the way in the very first X-Men movie. Daphne Keen was a great co-lead with a gripping performance despite really only having lines in the third act. Patrick Stewart’s performance as an aged Charles that lost control was heartbreaking. The funeral scene with all the mutant kids and Laura at the end gave me chills. 10/10

  Homecoming will always hold a special place in my heart. Such heartwarming origin but not origin Spider-Man film. I’m glad that they skipped the whole spider bite and wimpy looking Peter to a beginner Spider-Man thrust into a big world. Back then we had just gotten off another Spider-Man so if I saw another origin movie I would’ve screamed. But this movie just knows that we all know this origin and it moves on.
