Deeply unnerving, surreal cinematography makes this feel otherworldly and nightmarish in a way that a lot of horror films don't accomplish. There's some grotesque moments of body horror with practical effects that manage to be pretty spooky. The plot is a bit messy sometimes but it's hard to count that against it when the entire vibe of the movie is intentionally strange and distorted. This film definitely isn't afraid to make you uncomfortable. Watch it if you're in the mood for something weird and gruesome.
