There are several perspectives I can take when looking at "the substance ". one could focus on its underlying misogyny, evident at the beginning and throughout the film, or explore the themes of fame, youth, and the desire to remain within the safe confines of a glamorous life.
Alternatively, one could explore the duality and tension between two realities, a contrast created by the miraculous "substance" , and the price that must eventually be paid for choosing the quick fix!…
