Makes Jamie Lee’s night at the hospital look weak. Maybe not as iconic but I enjoyed the setting, creative enough and makes sense. I wish I had watched this at home with a drink in my hand, because it was better than I had expected.

Started out with some potential, I was kind of interested by the hypnosis thing. I’ve never had too much of an attachment to the original so I really was trying to give it an open mind.

There’s just so much going on and no actual direction for the storyline to focus on. Nothing scary, nothing eventful and mostly boring. Cinematically it is well done, but it’s also unnecessarily long.

Fun and lighthearted horror. Jokes didn’t quite land for me but I enjoyed the plot and thought that was humorous enough to get me by. Great song choices and 90s references but failed to really capture the Y2K essence. A little too tame for a group of teens in 1999 if you ask me.

I also want to shout out the cast. I think these guys did a great job w what they were given.

The closest thing to an anthology without actually being one? Film's very weird in a good way. Artsy weird at times and also comedically weird in other moments, finding a really nice balance of both. My major takeaway: Nothing makes sense and even less is real.
