In Our Day 2023
It’s been a long, agonizing wait (3 months) since his last film, but just as Wes Anderson made the most Wes Anderson film this year, Hong went back to his Hongiest form after experimenting a bit with the focus pull in his last film. It’s hilarious, insightful and just full of vibes. Almost cried when Kim, in the film, was talking about why she quit acting and how she met this one person who inspired her to go on.
Also, I made Hong sign my NewJeans EP after the screening, so yes, 5 stars.
