Deadstream 2022
Bring out the popcorn, turn off the lights, and watch this with your friends. Although I wouldn’t compare this with Evil Dead, it reminded me of a young Sam Raimi. Who knows, maybe they’ll do an improved version and slap a “2” on the title. Ha!

Late Night with the Devil 2023
Not the most mind-blowing or original horror film, but c’mon, it’s pretty fucking cool. As someone who’s got a thing for late night talk shows (Carson— lodi, Conan, Norton) and all things horror, I really enjoyed this and was glad to have caught it on its last day in cinemas.

Lost in Translation 2003
Finally saw this for the first time. Late to the party, I am. It’s not my usual jam, but it was hard not to find this beautiful. In a nutshell, it just feels real. Kinda cliche, but I’d rather not elaborate and spoil anything. It’s the kind of film that takes you for a ride… It’s not the smoothest nor the most exciting, you’re not even sure where you’re going, but there’s definitely a lot of magic and wonder in the air.
10/10 would recommend as a date movie. (Hoping I have one on my re-watch.) 🤪

Evil Under the Sun 1982
caught this during my murder mystery binge after watching Glass Onion. fun naman. way better than the latest iteration of the Poirot character with Kenneth Branagh imo.
