Interstellar has slowly become my favorite movie as I continue to rewatch it over the years. I think about the nurse’s snicker at Cooper’s “that was nice of them to name it after me” quite often - Murph is such a baddie. When Cooper watches the first video Murph sends him… full sobbing. Every time. Even though I know what’s going to happen. 100/10 stars
Louisa is a hero that shares with the world the true importance of language, communication, and understanding each other. In an instant, Louisa knows that all of the joy, laughter, and excitement she will experience in this life is monumentally worth it, despite any pain and suffering that follows. The end of this movie was revolutionary and incredibly beautiful. I cried a mix of happy and sad tears and this movie will remain active in my thought for months (or even years) to come.
This movie manages to seamlessly transition from crushing heartache to lighthearted and hopeful. Daniel Levy is incredibly talented. Honestly - if he published them, I’d read his grocery lists.
