The set design in this was phenomenal the start of the film with everything being shot in such a clean and parallel way it reminded me a lot of 2001 a space odessy.

Planet of the Apes 1968
Fantastic set and costume design as we are chucked straight away on this seemingly unfamiliar planet and are soon found with the evolved apes. The films runtime flew bye. Some clear themes definitely stemming back to slavery and racism and there being no way that someone who’s not like them can be as similar and as intelligent as them and it must be something done by the apes that made the human smart. The ending is as good as everyone says and a really great watch and important film.

What a film
The design for everything was perfect and was so imaginative and different the set for every single thing was jaw dropping and the costume design once again was fantastic.

I think the reason people are disliking it is because how different the tone is in the trailer and also because they expect it to be similar to Perkins previous film. It’s 10x dumber but also surprisingly really funny all the gory scenes are sugar coated with humour that does actually work. The entire premise is pretty stupid and the entire thing felt a bit surreal especially in the weird base thing at the end. While it’s not great is certainly by no means bad.
