  Captain America: Brave New World 2025

  To put it shortly, this is a film that disappointingly lacks much substance outside of entertainment value. It's even more disappointing as the setting and central conflict of the film clearly intended for a super-powered political thriller and the out of control president narrative lends itself perfectly to one.   an extremely powerful film about the futility of war and what it can turn people into through corruption and hypocrisy. some stunning shots, especially in the court martial and in the ant hill scene, as Col. Dax's men are dying around him but all he can do is blow is whistle and continue to lead his men to death. overall, this film is ahead of it's time because of it's message and how brilliant it is on a technical level. and how Kubrick was able to accomplish this at 28 years old is marvellous to say the least.
