  A Nightmare on Elm Street 1984

  Part of my Hooptober 11 challenge.

  Even after 40 years, Freddy Krueger is still one of the brightest slasher antagonists ever created. Everything around this character is miraculously crafted in this movie, leading to quite a few impressive scenes, even by todays standards.

  I liked this movie more on a 'scene by scene' basis, but as a whole it fealt quite dated for me - however, the gist of it, the actual horror elements worked really well.
  I'm looking forward to the other entries in the series too!

  Holy f**k...
  What starts as an overly basic found-footage movie, which includes every single common trope of the genre actually ends as one of the most intense titles for me in recent memory.

  Part of the Hooptober 11 challenge.

  V/H/S is a true treasure trove of great found-footage gems, even though most of them are rough ones.
  Out of the five short films that this anthology features, I like the one titled "Second Honeymoon" (dir. by Ti West) the most, since it had the perfect amount of ambient horror and tension inside it, but I also really enjoyed the last two segments as well.

  The Neon Demon 2016

  It was surreal, outstanding, but too weird for me.

  The pros for me:
  - The sound: I felt like I am on an inner journey, leave my body and transcend the whole universe listening to the music. Beautiful, really interesting!
  - The cinematography: really colorful scenes with amazing shots.

  The cons for me:
