  I’d never even thought about how the pope was elected. Such an ancient institution I maybe had some vague mythical divination in process in mind. Turns out it’s just a vote.

  The church is dense with politics, that mirror our trending arguments. This film addresses all these issues and how the church must deal with this, taking an especially liberal stance in opposition to right wing rhetoric.

  Intensely tender performances by the cast especially by the chameleon Ralph Fiennes brings an introspective and emotional vibe to this otherwise “stuffy old men in meetings” setting.
