    There’s really something about minimalist thriller films that I find so appealing. Maybe it’s the simplicity, the subtle tension they build, and the way every little detail feels intentional. This just kept me on edge.

    it seems like Aronofsky lacks humanity in the way he treats his characters. I can understand why some people say he lacks compassion and sensitivity. sorry, I might be wrong, but that’s just how it comes across, even if he thinks otherwise.

    update: also, isn’t the portrayal of Charlie a bit too cruel? and how he was treated as a character? there are a few scenes here that are quite triggering. why did they handle it that way? :/ and…
