That last bit of adrenaline and pin-drop moment was something I’ve never seen in cinema… masterful.
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
First, I want to highlight some scenes that have lingered with me for its subtle cinematic quality. One, the cemetery and basketball scene of Dae Young and his father. Second, Dae Young visiting his son’s championship game. Lastly, Dae Young being served braised ribs by his mother-in-law and accompanying her at the bus terminal.
Intuition replaced the need for spoon-fed dialogue for the aforementioned scenes. At some points, it dwelled on the power of silence and relied on the actors’…
