A friend in need is a filmy friend indeed. Cady Heron is not the same; y'all girl's changed from being an actual person to a clone. Avantika seriously needs to sue these people. She deserved better, but honestly, watching a film on a video call with the love of my life is the best thing in the world; nothing compares. Which is why it deserves an extra half-star.

The simplicity of the early 2000s, when the only way of entertainment was going around the neighborhood and holler at your friends, is beautiful in the film. The romance of the trains is not amiss. You glow in Phool's determination, you cheer for Jaya's courage and you cry for Deepak's helplessness. Kiran Rao brings to screen a forgotten era and its charm and I am here for it. And the beautiful melody of Sajni re is for the history books.
