Though the last 20 minutes feels like an entirely new film, this kept me very happy overall. Great performances by the core cast of John Gallagher, John Goodman, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead. Goodman brings creepy to new heights as Howard (and the scene where he's freshly shaven eating an ice cream cone gives me chills just thinking about it). Great little twist and a lot of fun.

Our Brand Is Crisis 2015
Strong enough performance by Sandra Bullock (which is standard at this point) but the film doesn't pack enough of a punch to keep me interested for the duration.

Argo 2012
Wow. This movie was gripping from beginning to end. Based on a true, now declassified, story, Ben Affleck is incredible as both actor and director at taking us through the details, emotions and tensions of this tale. A must see. Excellent performances by all. I was so anxious in the last 15 minutes of the film that I started (but didn't finish) Googling the ending on my phone.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind 2004
This is a film I avoided watching because I was scared to feel feelings. I just saw it for the first time. It's a movie that keeps you thinking long after the credits roll - and asks questions of fate, memories, love, hope and regret. Beautiful cinematography allows you to go on the journey with the characters and the score ties it all together. Jim Carey is amazing.
