Prior to watching The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes movie, I was very excited. I read the book within a couple days and absolutely loved it. In fact, I had loved all the books and movies from this franchise up until watching this movie. To me, it missed the mark completely. Changing key events and rushing the plot. I was thoroughly unimpressed both during and after the film.
