Kubo and the Two Strings 2016
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Beautiful animation. Third act got to be a bit trite (though I enjoyed that his parents did not come back from the dead, I thought that was a great move). Monsters were super unique and I felt like it also didn’t fall into the pitfalls of animation of non-human female characters being over anthropomorphic. Also really loved the references to ukiyo-e!
