  didn't expect to love this even half as much. surreal, bad-on-purpose joyful creative mixed media experience that was funny, not funny, moving, and clearly made with a lot of love and heart.

  I'm not an advocate for 'films must be sunshine and roses' but the ending was deliberately cruel and simply not signposted or even set up properly. without warning we jump from gentle, loving parents and welcoming kids to brutally publicly shaming your trans child. can't really begin to express my contempt for the cis people in the cinema with me who seemed to enjoy the humiliation of a trans kid on screen because it was 'so real' and 'so raw'.…
