  much geeetar fer sher🪕. Going into this movie with v little background on Bob Dylan or his music, I found myself feeling a slowdown through some of the parts as a lot of the movie consisted of covers. The performances were well done and did the job of piquing interest in checking out the original music, but if you don’t have the patience or appreciation for folk music in general, might be a slog to get through.

  Plot line mid, music mid, characters less than mid. Some shots were nice to look at for sure, but overall didn’t have a sense of uniformity. Jumped a lot between bright daylight shots and eerie nighttime shots. All the central characters were very unlikeable to me — Jonathan was seemingly the central character but with no earnestness and simply a stoic has to do what he has to do kind of “hero”.
