    i think this movie was genuinely ahead of its time. i remember watching it with my dad when i was little. jim carrey pulling the moon closer to impress jennifer aniston (his gf in the film) stuck with me for some reason. rewatching as an adult was quite surreal experience! jim carrey is a mad genius, what with his weird bodily contortions and bizarre humor. i kept on busting out laughing 

    what i didn’t expect was how head-on this film…

    simone ashley is so beautiful and is clearly a nuanced actor. she brings something new to every character she plays; we saw her do so in sex education, bridgerton and now, this movie

    movie itself was kind of mid, but i did appreciate / relate to the main character. i thought her gay best friend was the best character, and her love interest was handsome
