  I love war movies for their silence, and their humanity. But i really don’t like when war is used as a way to theme an action movie. Or when a war movie focuses in on individual heroism, which i don’t really think exists. 

  1917 had me for a while. Shot beautifully, raw, grounded, honestly disgusting at times, an extremely visceral depiction of war and of the people caught up in it.

  Then the movie became an all out middle aged…

  i feel like this movie is wearing a mask that’s distracting me from how much i absolutely do not get or enjoy it. like the cast is so stacked and it’s filmed in a way where it’s like we’re so SMART and INTENTIONAL the lyrics are on the WALL in GRAFFITI. but like. what the hell is going on. 
  i HATE movies where the Boy and Girl fall in love just by?? seeing each other??? if i was lily james…
