Relationships often get stale over time, and I did enjoy how Joel & Clementine witnessed this in real-time.
The recollection of memory in the end gave quite an uncomfortable foreshadow of what the relationship could evolve into once again. The happy ending in the snow was not so happy, with that underlying feeling attached to it… knowing that it probably won’t last.
The way those dynamics were shown, Nietzsche being quoted, the cinematography & the soundtrack were my highlights. But it still leaves a lot to be desired
