I went almost 37 years somehow without seeing this gem. Hilarious and delightful. Williams and Lane obviously kill it while Azaria steals every scene he’s in. And Gene Hackman as the old straight laced curmudgeon will never get old…He was born for that shit. My first watch did not let down. Good time fun.

The movie is very good. I’ll start there and I’ll elaborate by saying that Eggars’ movies demand a rewatch or two before fully digesting. Visually it’s beautiful. Sonically it’s immense. I don’t have a lot of gripes but something feels vacant…maybe I just need to let it settle before I write this review. Whoops.
