This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
I thought it was good, but could’ve been great. In terms of thrill, suspense, and scariness if Midsommar (another A24 cult movie) is a 10, then Opus is like a 6 or a 7 maximum, could’ve pushed it further, and the climax could have been drawn out longer.
I liked the Caesar killing his kidnappers idea and I think it was well done the way it was incorporated into Moretti’s album, Moretti’s personality, and the cults ideology. Definitely an ohhhhhh…

Nosferatu 2024
I really enjoyed watching this film. The cinematography and editing were incredible. Clearly a lot of importance was placed upon creating a strong central aesthetic (from the production design, costume design, sound design…) and it really elevated the film.
I thought the performances were amazing! Which is a credit to the star studded cast as well as the director. And not one i-phone face anywhere to be seen!

The costumes were so gorgeous, I’m going to dream about them every night and build a shrine to Holly Waddington.
