I'm Still Here 2024
This movie was slow in the most perfect way, through that slowness it showed resilience and endurance, qualities that Eunice embodies beautifully. I felt like I was living day by day with the family waiting for their father. The tonal shifts from the beginning to the film to once the men take the dad away left you eager for the beginning of the film back, unsure really of how you got to where you are, just as the family felt.
This was also the first time I had ever gone to the movies alone, I’m glad this was the movie for me to finally do that.

Kind of predictable (after the first reveal) but I’m so happy for my robot princess and I love the villain being nothing more than a pathetic white man who is bitter that he doesn’t get everything he wants because that’s so fucking real today. underwhelming but not mad I saw it.
