Mickey 17 2025
This movie was not what I was expecting at all, although I wasn't expecting anything. The setting is very unique with a tinge of what could be our future reality. It really puts a new twist in playing God and cloning. This film is also shot very smoothly and is actually hilarious.

The Squid and the Whale 2005
This is a well done story of the grief of a torn apart family. There is a very down to earth and at times dry dynamic between the broken family that truly makes it feel real and human. Additionally, there's scenes with strong implicit value that make you wonder the true reason why things happened the way they did.

This is the raunchiest movie that I've ever seen, but it is under-toned by a slightly despairing story of a broken friendship between best friends, caused by an immature ignorance in getting what they say they want. The narration pulls you in as well, explaining all characters in depth and at times the history of the setting.
