Beautiful film with a beautiful cast. If Onegin's sole reason for rejecting Tatyana was because of her youth and naivety, I might respect him more and even feel bad for him, but he's cold and condescending and finds no passion for living at all.
A tragic tale of not realizing what you have until it's gone. Tatyana's faithfulness to her husband while still loving Onegin is bittersweet and admirable.
Went in for Natalie but was taken by how enamoured I was by Dyan. Bob's initial reaction to Carol's own affair was disappointing but not at all surprising. Not a particularly moving film but I found the ending interesting as they were not able to go through with it, showing that boundaries to "free love" are needed sometimes and some lines just can't be crossed. Didn't particularly like how Alice was basically pressured to be okay with it all despite her discomfort until the very last moment where she just cracks.
The day I watched this movie was the day I was forever changed. A pleasant surprise since I had no prior knowledge of the real life counterpart.
This movie was such a pleasant surprise. Clue-eque murder mysteries have never been my thing but I decided to give this one a chance. Saw it twice!
