  Fun movie.

  More importantly, Alamo Drafthouse employees are on strike in Brooklyn and Manhattan. Cancel your season passes and don't cross the picket line until Alamo (bought by Sony recently) negotiates in good faith with UAW Local 2179.

  Does anyone else sense a spiritual connection between Bong Joon Ho and Boots Riley? This one was occasionally heavy handed and a little scattered, but Robert Pattinson was fantastic. Give me more kind losers in space!

  This will surely be an unpopular opinion/rating.

  Cinematography is good, as is the acting done by Daniel Kaluuya (as always) and Emily Blunt. However, Taylor Sheridan's script is modern exploitation garbage.

  Not exactly what I thought this movie would be, and I’m having a ton of different thoughts. It excels in its more atmospheric, meditative moments, but is slightly hurt by the overacting from Wolff and Knell, some cheesy music choices. To me the violence does nothing for the story. Amazing cinematography though, and maybe Cage’s best performance of all time? Amir’s dad should have been played by John Malkovich. Brandy the pig deserves an Oscar.
