  A truly great gunslinger movie more authentic and authoritative than 99% of the bunch out there, taking its genre’s past toward a new frontier in South Africa. All its talent excel beyond any of Hollywood’s best today, who find in all their roles in front of and behind the camera the beauty, heart, danger, and menace of a land that does not change without sacrifice. 
  The film’s only drawbacks come from tipsy pacing and bits of burdensome writing that don’t help to sober it up.

  Kull wahad!
  This is half a star away from being a full 5 because of un-shy editing decisions made for what I imagine to be Major Studio input, which cut major scenes from the theatrical release - I pray for a director’s cut.

  Respect. Never seen this before!
  This movie inspired me to pick up some dirt and sniff it before work every morning.
  I saw this (and paired my viewing with eating an entire bowl of shrimp) not knowing I had thirteen more days to watch on Netflix before it’s to be taken off. Close one. 
  Damn good way to spend an evening with dad after lengthy talks about what the idea of a nation is.
