Mulholland Drive 2001
Been in my thoughts 80% of the time for days after watching, def even better the second time and already want to see it again ngl. Visually sonically thematically so rich, even when you're confused of the relevance of a scene to the overall story the atmosphere, dialogue, weirdness of the scene make it like a short film that would be worth watching in its own right and the dream like quality is perfectly captured. 14 Peaks: Nothing Is Impossible 2021
Big up Nims' and the others' achievements, absolutely bonkers. But this doc is kinda rushed and doesn't convey very well the scale of what was involved - you don't come out of it knowing much specifically about any of the peaks (except that K2 is 100% the badddddddest) because there's so many to get through in 90 mins, so it's more just vague fight talk about how you should never give up blah blah etc. More like a vlog than a film at times, they just needed more of a vision of how to put this together.
