Losing G. A. Smith's comedic tone, silly outfits and theatrical set design, Bamforth's realism foreshadows Yorkshire (and North England)'s gritty working class aesthetic in film. 1½/10 — Think this is entertaining? You've clearly never seen Married At First Sight Australia. Bergman could never.
It's all subjective, perhaps the extended cut is a masterpiece as the ratings imply? Alas, shall not be subjecting myself to anymore of these two.
Worth a watch if you need a break from ninety minute dramas featuring characters you're invested in. One film closer to selling this damn bluray boxset at least!
