  Synapse 4k upgrade, enjoyed in Italian for a change of pace. Though entirely satisfied with the blu-ray, the HDR treatment adds 15-20% of color enhancement/enjoyment. Synapse did a lovely job on this release as with Suspiria.

  The Hawk and the Dove 1981

  Neil Diamond songs and Fabio Testi (Michele) case closed. Lots of soothing strings and heroin. Fireside romance, political intrigue, Fabs is about twice the age of his girlfriend who has a young Linda Blair quality making it even more odd for the viewer. Plenty of quick quipping and sarcastic banter to carry the film along nicely. Ideal for a viewer who appreciates decorative glass ashtrays, dark hardwood, roller skating dope peddlers, and copious Neil Diamond.

  Speechless to witness something ripped from the collective unconscious to include Matthew Barney and Alejandro Jodorowsky’s side of the brain AND indulge in sequences quite similar to THX 1138 and A Clockwork Orange. On paper none of this ought to function let alone take to the clouds high and above but it does. Lionel Stander a treasure lends authenticity and humor. An important and under-seen treasure.  Remarkable, speechless, fulfilled.
