Dead Leaves 2004
I thought this was Gainax (for obvious reasons) until their logo wasn't in the obligatory long anime logo sequences at the beginning of the film. Felt like a mix between FLCL (show I really like) and Panty & Stocking (show I really don't like), which ended up balancing to "pretty good". The aesthetic and music were fucking amazing. Thinking on it now, my biggest problem was that it was at a very consistent level of insanity, not that that's bad but it never felt like it was rising in that fucking insanity. Very good film but probably better on drugs or something.

Spent the first forty five minutes wondering why the fuck Robert Pattinson was doing a squeaky British accent that made him sound like a bitch before remembering that Robert Pattinson is, in fact, British. Good movie, kind of annoying at times but the scenes that hit really hit.

Fucking awful and boring in every way. My first experience with this film was being at my rich friend’s house and we usually played Xbox there but he wanted to watch the movie and we sat there waiting for the fucking gorilla to show up and he never did before I left. Watching the full movie later made it even worse. Complete dog shit. That friend is a drug dealer now btw
