The first time I watched this movie I had no idea what to expect. I saw Bill Murray on the cover and made my assumptions which led to a rough and confusing first 30 minutes for me. I read the book a few years ago so my memory isn’t perfect, but I do believe the story structure in this film is opposite of that of the novel. Instead of knowing from the beginning that Ernest was involved in the killings, the book instead follows Detective White as he gathers more evidence.
